Looking for window tinting for your Model 3?
What you should know when obtaining your window tinting quotation.
Tinting the full rear glassroof of a Tesla Model 3 requires experience. Quotations for window tinting can vary significantly due to what is actually offered as part of the tinting task. Some tint companies will decline tinting the rear panel, some will join 2 separate pieces together and the there are those who will only tint enough to cover the clear boot section.
It is important to ask the company exactly what they have quoted you for.
Unfortunately, we have had plenty of clients come to us after having had someone else carry out the tint for them.
The length of the full rear glassroof is approximately 1.4m long.
This large panels sits above the back passenger seats and extends all the way down to the clear boot section. If this rear panel is not tinted in one full piece for a seamless finish - an obvious tint line when sitting inside your Model 3 will be evident.
To be able to tint the rear glassroof in one full piece- a full 60" roll of tint film is required. The standard glass panel only requires a 20" or 30" roll.
Due to the size of the rear glassroof - without experience in its application - it is a very difficult task to accomplish.
The photo below is an example of what we have seen. This is what we refer to as the cheap, shortcut version of window tinting for a Model 3.
